I discovered that although the NML documentation talks about
using buffer type of FILEMEM with encoding=disp to support
debugging, rcslib 4.39 doesn't support this any more. (It's in
the code in places but is commented out, and putting it back in
led to compile eerrors. So support appears to have been dropped.)
Is there now an alternative that is suggested for doing low-level
debugging of NML channel communication?
