RE: Browser



For those of you who hate rebooting, you can also do the following (as
root):

  telinit 1

takes you down to single user mode.

  telinit 3

takes you back up to level 3, which is non-graphics mode with networking
enabled. Use

  telinit 5 

if you want to bring up to X-Windows.

I find this to be much faster than rebooting and it doesn't affect your
'uptime' (you might not care).
