You may need to configure /etc/hosts and maybe /etc/resolv.conf
Very easy.
when the link is up you can type ifconfig ppp0 to see if the link is
actually sending and receiving.(You will need to be root to do all
this.....)
I seem to recall having a problem once with netscape not talking to
localhost but I can't remember exactly what I did to fix it.
I will get back to you.
