CVS Build Problem
Hi all,
I just updated to the current sourceforge CVS (Sun Jun 23 ~15:00 UTC).
I'm building it on a SuSE8.0/rtai-24.1.9 box, using the compile script
posted to the list by Paul on Sun June 9. The build has only one
glitch:
..../emc/rcslib/etc/linux_rtai_2_4_18.def:141: [added line break]
*** missing separator. Stop.
The build seems to complete though. The line in question is the last
line of:
# disable SCCS make rule for Linux
% : SCCS/s.%
-at-true
I'm not able to grok it.
The plain sim.run works. The real problem is that rtsim.run or
stepper.run bomb out with:
starting EMC MOTION PROGRAM -- freqmod.o [added line break]
...plat/rtai/lib/freqmod.o: unresolved symbol printf
I'm guessing this may need to be vprintf? Anyway looking at the link
line for freqmod.o shows a lot of stuff. I'm lost as to where to look
for the source file responsible. Any suggestions or hints as to what I
can do to help figure this out?
I'm working with the CVS because it seems to be further along with rtai
support, and rtai supports new enough kernels for my hardware. My
fall-back will be a RH6.2/RTL setup which works, up to kernel
vs. hardware issues (Thunderbird and AMD chipset).
