one interface noone has suggested so far is the ide hard disk bus
this is really a stripped down fast 16bit extension to the at bus and
providing we move 512 bytes of data in or out per go doesn't seem
to have too many limtations. It is also not one who's imminant demise
is rattled on about . Also worthy and fairly deterministic is firewire
TI provide chipsets at moderate prices, it is designed to be deterministic
and has a high throughput .
there seems to be a high level of hardware expertise on this list perhaps
if an open definition was decided on. something or things could be
designed without too many limitations .
