Hi List
Due to the phenomenal response to the release of our stepper controller, we
have realized that there is a serious lack of open source framework articles,
designs and or services available within this industry.
You will note that the information we released was already in the public
domain, just that very few people know it was there, or couldn't/didn’t know
where to find it.
So here is what I would like to do.
To develop a strategy group for the following purposes.
Get as much information together about this industry, with a focus at this
time, on designs, and information about designs on the hardware used in this
industry. IE. Stepper controllers, Servo controllers, Indexers, AD/DA
converters, DRO and the such like. And to have this information hosted on a
single web site some place for public access the distribution. A mighty fine
idea if you ask me.
With this in mind, we would like to make the following conditional offer.
Corporate Computers will undertake to design a PCB, or PCBs from your
design/s absolutely FREE of any design charges. This offer is valid untill
further notice.
The conditions:
1. You MUST release your design/s, to its entirety, into the public
domain without any strings attached.
Your obligations:
1. To supply a schematic drawing of your design, complete with any
production notes and/or relative information.
Corporate Computers will NOT undertake to check any design it receives for
this offer. So YOU are responsible for the integrity of the design and it’s
authenticity.
Corporate Computers reserves the right to decline any such work it feels may
be a conflict of interest, copyright, or for any other such reasons.
To submit your design, email it direct to me fred-at-shooter.co.nz
If you do not wish to have your designs released into the public domain,
Corporate Computers will undertake to design your project. Contact
sales-at-shooter.co.nz for further information.
I hope that other companies/Organisations feel that this is a good strategy
to promote the industry as a whole. And with any luck, the industry as a
whole will become more diverse and literate in regards to the technical
aspects of the industry.
Many thanks for your time, and I look forward to seeing your designs come
across my desk.
Fred
