How to controll spindle speed cont'd

thanks for the reply's, I think as a newby I need to
understand a few thinks more in detail. 1. I've seen
that the emc accepts as "M3"/"M5" commands, it also
accepts "S" (spindle speed) commands. For what I
understand of it that S should be followed by a number
that correspond with the desired spindle speed. Or is
this not a working obtion yet in emc and is the only
way to controll spindle speed just by the spindle
increase/decrease buttons? If the "S" command is
indeed working in emc how does this signal then (in a
standard configuration) lead to increased/decreased
spindle speed.
