Re: emc .ini file

Juan

The way that I do it is through the kde desktop that you see when the BDI
boots up. Down on the bottom bar there is an icon that looks like a little
house. Click on that and you will get a file browser that starts in the home
directory. If you are logged in as root it will begin in /root.

Use the up arrow to get to / then click on usr then local then emc. There
you will see several files named *.ini. If you are trying to run emc.run you
should right click and open with and editor like kless or kwrite. About line
27 it will tell you which ini file it is using. Once you know what ini is
being used you can edit that file.

You can left click to open an ini file with kless. You can edit it the way
you think that it ought to be and save the result by clicking on the little
icon that looks like a floppy disk near the top of the kless window. Kless
will save a backup copy of the ini file that you are editing and will name it
whatever the ini file name is and put a tilde(~) after the name.

Hope this helps.
