Re: EMC/STG II homing problem

Hi Les,

This seems to be a problem that comes up from time to time. I discovered the
same (or what appears to be) problem almost two years ago when interfacing
EMC
and a STG II card to a Hurco mill. It seemed in my case that the index pulse
was not recognized by EMC. Just as in your case, everything hardware-wise
seemed to be there. My work around was to un comment the NO_INDEX_PULSE in
the extstgmot.c module and recompile. This makes the software ignore the
index pulse
for homing and therefor a little less accurate. I still would like to see a
solution
but have not seen anyone put forth such. See the thread around the 9/21/01
for more.

Regards, Mel
