My application is a Burgmaster cnc drill table. XYZ = 48 x 144 x 12 inches.
There is a turrette with 8 tools mounted on a carriage. (Z-axes)
Is anyone using an analog output from the STG card to control spindle RPM?
If so, have you also displayed it (RPM) on your GUI?
I hope to be able to toggle between commanded and actual (like the X, Y, Z
axes) spindle speed. Actual is a 0-10v input from a tach generator.
I also hope to input 0-10v to display the spindle load. (motor current load)
Has anyone worked on a similiar project?
I have been able to read and understand alot of what is done in the EMC src
code - but I'm not a programmer, so I have to rely on others to help with
writing application specific C code. I can see know that I need to include :
-DSTG_ANALOG_INPUT \ in the emcmot Makefile, just as -DSTG_8_AXES \ is done
for a 8-axis board.
Any pointers to help me along is greatly appreciated. I know that once I
have one successful EMC application under my belt I will be able to
contribute to this list in the other direction.
Kurtis
