Re: RedHat6.1/linux-2.4.4/rtlinux-3.1/emc-1.1-17/libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0 compiled

Hi Pete

You will need the following packages installed :-
kernel-2.2.18-rtl3.0 - The realtime kernel
rcslib-rtl3.0-2.10 - rcslib which is needed by EMC
emc-rtl3.0-2.10 - The binaries for EMC

If you have a KDE window manager, zzzemc-icons-rtl3.0-2.10 will also be
useful - You may need to copy the emc icons from /etc/skel/Desktop to
$HOME/Desktop.
emccpp is the conversational programming routines that are optional, as is
emc-tools (Gnome backplotter and performance logging utilities), as is
handbook-rtl3.0-2.10. The sources for EMC and rcslib can be found in
emc-source.

Unless rpm knows that you have tcl/tk 8.0 installed, you may need to use a
force option with rpm to extract the emc package (I'm not familiar with
Slackware).

Regards, Paul.
