Try :-
mknod /dev/lp3 c 6 3
This will create a buffered character device that can now be used with the 
fourth printer port.
mknod /dev/lp3 u 6 3 creates an unbuffered device.
Note - Most linux distros already have /dev entries for the first three 
parallel ports.
