Sluggish TkEmc with BDI

I am trying to set TkEmc up in frequency mod. After clicking on TkEmc icon
the mouse slows down and the system is in slow motion. When running the
axis, the readout lags behind. I can make a move in MDI and the axis will
move to its position and stop, but the readout hasn't got there yet. Can
someone please tell me what is not set right?
