stepper motors oscillate



I am trying to run a PKM with EMC. I compiled my transformation using
emcfreqmot.o to 
control my stepper.
When I am driving, using MDI, to any position in world frame, the
axisdisplays in joint frame,
and also the motors, oscillate between two positions of the steppermotors
after reaching the endposition.I thougt EMC would just make a step when the
difference between commanded
position and real position is larger than half a step?
Does anyone know how I can suppress this oscillation?
