Back in November, Terry L Ridder mentioned that there was a problem with
gcc-2.95. This being the version that is shipped with both RH 6.2 and Mandrake
7.2 (guess which ones I have). Compiling a new install from scratch -rtl,
rsclib, & emc, generates a whole mass of error, and warnings. A few modules
fail to be built in the process - mbuff.o and one or two of the io modules in
emc. Probably due to the parsing error you and I get from io.h.

What info do you get from running :
gcc -v
