i am not familiar with slackware 7.0 but there
are some general items to look at.

compiler version. gcc -v
kernel version. 
rtlinux-2.2a would be your best choice at the moment.
use either linux-2.2.14 or linux-2.2.15.

i am working on getting linux-2.2.17 & rtlinux-2.3 
to play together. ;-)
