you will probably need a separate NFS directory to hold the .INI file
for each machine ,even with the same hardware setup each of the mills
will have somewhat different parameters after tuning
the binaries would be the same of course and could be copied (linked?)
into each machine's directory
I don't think the network traffic would be a problem , each client would
be downloading the files and running them locally so once the program was
running in client memory it should not have to talk to the network in
real time
? would each of the machines have a hard drive or would they be booting from
the network or a floppy like this one ?

if they each have a hard drive you could still do a single build on one box
and just mirror/copy the disk onto all the others so they could still run
standalone if needed
