Well, this is down the road a ways.  I want to have feedrate override,
'run', abort, pause, continue, jogging, set axis coords to ..., and such
stuff.  One reason is so there is never a disconnection between
the pendant and the program, as happens when you switch window
focus with Tk/EMC or other X GUIs.
