I can pretty confidently say this does NOT happen with the servo to go
driver (I'm not absolutely sure whether I'm using stg or stg8 - I have the
8 channel board, but use only 3 axes now, of course) with any EMC
release up to mar-2000, and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed
this behavior on the Jun-2000 release, although I rarely got it to
run long enough to shut it down normally, it usually hung the system!
