Fine. Buy your software shrink-wrapped from Microsoft, and pay by the
minute to have them accept your phone call when you have a problem.
You won't be allowed to inspect how the program works, because looking
at any of the files is considered industrial espionage by them, and making
any changes terminates your license to use the product.
And, when the program (or the OS) crashes, you'll only have to
throw away the part on the machine table that has 2 weeks work in it!
I've been running EMC for almost 2 years, and have NEVER had
a crash of the production program or OS in that time! (I have had
problems with test versions of the program, but the one I have
qualified for production is totally solid!)
