RE: SLO-SYN Encoders
Here is the hookup info from a connection diagram I have for a set of
Superior steppers (SLO-SYN is their trade name) with encoders.
The listing is as follows:
Terminal strip number, then Connector number, the wire lead color, then
description:
1,D,RED,+5 vdc
2,H, BLACK, Ground
3,B,GREEN, 200X Count Channel
4,A,YELLOW or ORANGE, 200X Gate Channel
5,E,WHITE,1X Channel
*Note, Encoder outputs are transistor open collectors. User must provide a
pull up resistor to limit logic "0" current to a max. of 50 MA per channel.
Looking at the diagram it is showing pull ups on 3, 4, and 5. 3 and 4 look
to be your normal quadrature encoder output. 5 looks to be an index channel.
That should get you all hooked up.
