RE: EMC 2.2.13 almost there!



Besides setting the INPUT and OUTPUT parameters the same as Ray wisely
advised, I found it necessary to up the P value. If P was set too low I got
a few steps and then a follow error. As I started upping the P value I would
get a complete move at a low speed, but would again get follow errors at
higher rates. A further increase in P finally eliminated all of my follow
errors at any speed.

You can tune the P (I, D, FF1, FF2, FF3, etc.) from the settings menu right
in Xemc or TKemc. Just remember the settings are for the currently selected
axis and they are not saved back to the ini file, so when you find ones that
work write them down and manually edit your ini file. I found that P values
of 100 - 1000 all seemed to work for me. Ray gave some tuning advise and
from what I got out of it (please correct me if I got this wrong) higher P
values are probably better as long as it does not cause the motors to start
getting jittery.
