Hey! I just got iosh to make!  Seems the linker was looking for
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so and I didn't have that.  I made it a link to
libXaw.so.6.1 and it worked.  It made bridgporttask and minimilltask now
too.  I am able to run the simulation - finally.  The real ./emc.run still
locks up loading freqmot.o.  I just changed the variable 'PERIOD' in
emcfreqmot.c to 40 and am re-compiling to see if that helps.

I agree, a month ago I didn't even know how to say linux:)  And like a dummy
I didn't even get Red Hat.  I got Mandrake Linux.

Whoops, mine doesn't either.  I ended up with three links in my /usr/src
directory.  They are:

/opt/rtl/rtlinux-2.0/linux    (link named linux)
/opt/rtl/rtlinux-2.0/rtl        (link named rtl)
/opt/rtl/rtlinux-2.0            (link named rtlinux-2.0
