Homebrew STG card - CRAZY-2

Hi,

Maybe I shouldn't have started this :)

But, it is possible I could track down some software for an XT that would read
things from the serial port. That is Eproms that set up the serial port, and
you can download programs and run them on the board. ( No floppy or HD )

This can be set up to run at 115K baud. I just wonder - could that be
sufficient for the NML buffers ? Will, and Fred would need to say a few things
about this. There is also some questions related to the size of modules, as
you only got limited ram.

But using the serial port as an initial device for testing this sort
of expansion, would be very easy. There is a lot of other nice things -
compilers and other stuff is easy to get, and I know that several of the
people on this list - have done programming on these boxes, so there could be
a lot of knowledge available. Who knows what crazy stuff NIST may have done
years ago - they may have all the answers.

Comments ?

You can even weld and do other crazy stuff with these old boxes. They are
pretty solid. :)
