Re: Colored pins for EMC map-- reply with city, state, country
Hi Fred,
I'm a bit over 50% finished building a small mill which I intend to use for
making watch and small clock parts, engraving, and making bits for musical
instruments. It will have about 6" travel on each axis plus a dividing head
and rotary table (hopefully the multi axis problems will have been sorted
out by the time I need them). I am also toying with the idea of making the
'Z' axis rotate about a point level with the table top as I want to
experiment with generating complex gear shapes using just a thin slitting
saw (obtaining or making profile cutters for watch-sized gears is now almost
impossible and certainly too expensive for hobby use). At the moment I have
EMC hooked up to three steppers on the bench and I am also playing with
backplot. I can sit for hours just watching the motors spin!! but that
doesn't get the machine built! Thanks for all your good work.
