multiple block MDI entry

Oh, I forgot about the other meaning of #.  Actually, there is another
use, at least in xemc, to select relative/machine (or is it commanded/
actual) coordinate display.  Well, I think xemc is aging, and TkEmc
will end up as the default.

Well, no special attachment to #, any available printing character should
do fine.  & or ^ or % or even $ could all do, I think.

No, I'm pretty sure we went through this, and the interpreter definitely
does not handle this on one line.
