Re: HELP - dual boot with ms-xp



Hi Ray,  I just did this on my laptop recently.

I used Partition Magic 8.0 to shrink the XP partition.  It's a good idea to 
dfrag in XP before you do this.

I then booted the Redhat CD and manually created the linux partitions
using druid.  I left some free space on the drive that I later made into
a FAT32 drive under XP.  Since Linux cannot mount XP ntfs, it's handy to
have a FAT32 partiton that you can mount in linux to share files between
the two OS's.
