RE: Re[2]: SMP dual CPU

Richard,
I had the same problem, I inherited a dual PIII-600 board,
any flavor of linux I tried really didn't like it much;
I ended up putting together 2 600 mhz systems with the cpu's
(anybody want a dual cpu gigabyte M/B cheap???)\

Hello Jon,

I didn't say I needed it, I said I'm likely to be using it.
Beggars can't be choosers, and if there is any advantage to
having both processors then it would be daft to pull one.

It also seems fairly daft to me that a highly stressed system
such as realtime can't take advantage of SMP. Solutions I've
encountered outside of the Linux world certainly do.
