USB has been backported to kernel version 2.2.18.  This kernel is compatible
with redhat ver 6. something up to ver 7.1.  I tried to search for the
kernel version for BDI with no success.  You might have to rebuild your
kernel if it wasn't selected during the real time kernel build.  I suppose
that step would defeat the purpose of the brain dead install, but there you
go.
