I guess if I had to do this today, with what little I know that I can 
manipulate of the EMC, I'd re-write tkio.  With this language I have access 
to commanded spindle speed.  I also have access to parport pins.  I could 
rather easily make an 8 or 12 bit parallel binary out to drive an amp from 
spindle speed.
