Joe,
you can find out:
the name of the .ini that you use is one of the first lines in the .run you
start.
when you have found the .ini you will find an I/O-Section where it is
specified what kind of i/o you have.
if it looks like this....

..
..
; Platform for IO controller
PLAT =                  nonrealtime

; Name of IO controller program, e.g., bridgeportio
EMCIO =                 bridgeportio
; EMCIO =               minimillio
; EMCIO =               simio
..
..
..
-----------------------------
... you have a real I/O.

   I'm using a BDI install. Dose it's ini run a simulated I/O?
