While not from experience with EMC but another controller - check your gains - that axis may have a lag problem that takes a while to clear -

While making adjustments to to P,I &D I noticed that if two axis are jogged simultaneously , one axis will latch on and will only stop if its jog key is pressed again.I am using EMC in conjunction with a ServoToGo 2 ,8 axis card.Any help would be appreciated,
