Samba is the way to go, but if for some reason you need a work around.
There's a couple utilities for copying files from a window machine to a
linux machine.  PSCP and WinScp, they are both small apps 200-300K.  Of
course you have to have an SSH server on your linux box.  If you haven't
used it before, you  should also try Putty - an SSH program for widows.
