ie: click the monitor with a seashell in front of it button on the toolbar

output will appear in the shell which you can paste around

or to write all output to a log file (stdout + stderr)
./emc.run >& emc.log

also there is a variable DEBUG in ini file you can tweak to
increse/decrease the amount of information logged.
