RE: Bdi801bin. update questions



Ray,
    None of your suggestions have worked, please note that this is a fresh
Bdi version 2.04 install, nothing has been edited. All the icons are dead in
the /usr/local/nist81/emc folder.
  After the third suggestion

   You can also start the EMC the old fashioned way.  Browse to the
> /usr/local/nist81/emc directory and key <control>t and it will start a
> terminal there.  Enter the name of the file with a ./ preceeding it and
> you will start that executable.  You can also start a terminal anywhere
> and cd to the correct directory.  The terminal icon on the panel across
> the bottom will start a terminal in your home directory.
    I get the notice.

[root-at-localhost emc]# ./emc.run
./emc.run:which:: no such file or directory
the current real-time platform appears to be rt linux_but no directory
exists for this platform
either install emc for this platform or create a symbolic link to an
existing platform

If I leave a space after the slash as in ./ emc.run I get      bash./: is a
directory.
