Model 1 port_d is setup differently that Model 2's (At least the bit
direction set offsets are different) If in one of your builds Model 1 is
defined, you'll for sure have problems with port d.

Can't say I've been too successful myself with routing auxiliary I/O through
the stg at this point.

Some code changes to my original BDI were doubling buffer stack sizes in
extstgmot.c (re: Ray's EMC startup-lockup bug fix suggestion), defining
NO_INDEX_PULSE in stg2.c for my encoders, adding a stg_v2_8axis.o to
emc.run files, (note position of the '8'. The original source is
stg_v2_axis8.c, while the module is stg_v2_8axis.o)

My setup is running the stg_v2_8axis.o with limits, homes, amp functions
re-addressed to fit on a 16 I/O Grayhill board.
