Re: crash mode



If you set freqmod too small, you can lock up the linux tasks (jerky
keyboard
and mouse response) because the real-time freqmod module is using up all the
cpu time.
You want to set it as small as possible so that you get the highest stepping
rates and
smoothest speed changes. I found that 48us was about as low as I could go
with a 133 pentium. The old default was 16us which locked up my box solid.
I would suggest something in-between the 2 and monitor your mouse response
and your stepper performance at high speeds.
