If this is the same as my Bridgeport - Fitted with Heidenhain controls - You
will also need to add encoders or linear scales to your shopping list. The
standard encoders that are fitted to the end of the servo motors have a sine
wave output that cannot be used with EMC without additional hardware.
The STGII card is allready supported in the current releases of EMC, so that
part is not a problem.

Short answer is yes - You will probably be refered to a second party who can
fit a newer control. Bad news is it will cost a minimum of £5000 - That was the
starting figure I was quoted.
