Problems with RH7.0

I have a RH7.0 machine here, I do *not* run EMC on that but try the following:
gcc --version
and
kgcc --version
gcc should be 2.96
kgcc should be egcs-2.91.66
Then try to make the building process use kgcc instead of gcc.
I thing I saw something describing a RH7.0 install on www.linuxcnc.org, but I am
not 100% sure, try finding something there.
