install error on 0.9-25

I have a couple of questions.
Question 1 - I had a few errors on my install. I solved down to these but
don't know where to go from here. I have limited experience with C/C++.

My system is:
distribution - Debian
Kernel - 2.2.13
RTL - 2.0
EMC - emc-0.9-25.src.tgz

RCS installs with no errors. These errors are from emcerr.log

If I try to run ./sim.run I get this.

Current platform is linux_2_2_13
Current real-time platform is rtlinux_2_0
inivar = plat/linux_2_2_13/bin/inivar
INIFILE = sim.ini
starting emc...
starting EMC MOTION PROGRAM -- simmod.o...Running inisim to send INIFILE
simulation
parameters to the real-time simulator.
done
starting EMC IO PROGRAM -- simio...done
starting EMC TASK PROGRAM -- bridgeporttask...can't run bridgeporttask
program
The file plat/linux_2_2_13/bin/bridgeporttask does not exist or is not
executable
../generic.run: plat/linux_2_2_13/bin/inisim: No such file or directory

Question 2 - After I get the simulator running and emc checked out, I want
to use emc to output direction and speed pulses. What is the correct setup
for this?

Thanks
