Are emc.run and generic.run the same?

Just wondering... I have been using emc.run and am wondering if there is
something I'm missing by not running generic.run instead. The .ini files
seem to be identical. (BTW... I don't know how to look at a ???.run
file... When I try to open it it just starts running! My ignorance I
presume.)
